**Review is for all six volumes (34 collected issues across 6 titles) A jumbo-sized crossover that fulfils its promise and brings four line together, tells a cohesive story, and leaves each thread set to go off in it's own direction again。 And yet, and yet。。。 Whether it's a little too big, or a little too repetitive (several times half an issue is a near repeat of an earlier one from a different title) or a little too predictably predestined (the plot can hold no real surprise since we all know **Review is for all six volumes (34 collected issues across 6 titles) A jumbo-sized crossover that fulfils its promise and brings four line together, tells a cohesive story, and leaves each thread set to go off in it's own direction again。 And yet, and yet。。。 Whether it's a little too big, or a little too repetitive (several times half an issue is a near repeat of an earlier one from a different title) or a little too predictably predestined (the plot can hold no real surprise since we all know the events of Return of The Jedi are coming)。 Because of that, the most interesting and entertaining bits were the side-quests and filler one-shots, places where character could be developed without the burdens of the plodding plot。 。。。more

Marvel’s “War of the Bounty Hunters” event was one of the better line-wide storylines to impact the “Star Wars” comics since Marvel’s acquiring of the brand in 2014。 A big part of the reason for the event’s success had to do with the way that the writers of the various ongoing series integrated the event into their own stories – with the exception of maybe the main “Star Wars” series, very few of the ongoings felt like their flow and ongoing storylines were disrupted, a rarity when it comes to l Marvel’s “War of the Bounty Hunters” event was one of the better line-wide storylines to impact the “Star Wars” comics since Marvel’s acquiring of the brand in 2014。 A big part of the reason for the event’s success had to do with the way that the writers of the various ongoing series integrated the event into their own stories – with the exception of maybe the main “Star Wars” series, very few of the ongoings felt like their flow and ongoing storylines were disrupted, a rarity when it comes to line-wide stories。 The inclusion of several standalone issues – each helping to flesh out and expand upon the stories of several of the central characters involved, and all of which are included in the “War of the Bounty Hunters Companion” anthology – helped greatly with this, taking some of the pressure off of the main event and the surrounding ongoing series and allowing the individual writers room to continue to flesh out the stories they’ve been telling for almost 2 years now。 Note to all future comic book events: it’s possible to tell a line-wide story without throwing the entire line into narrative chaos。 。。。more
